Breast Surgery Proctorship Program

Objectives
This immersive training program is designed to:

  • Enhance participants’ surgical proficiency in both benign and malignant breast conditions

  • Provide direct exposure to advanced techniques in breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and oncoplastic procedures

  • Foster clinical decision-making in a multidisciplinary setting

  • Promote best practices in patient selection, preoperative planning, and postoperative care

  • Patient-Centered Experience: Each participant may bring their own patient to undergo surgery in our training center under expert supervision

  • Duration: 1–2 days, with flexible scheduling tailored to participant availability

  • Format:

    • Operating room observation

    • Hands-on surgical participation (where permitted)

    • Outpatient clinic observation

    • Multidisciplinary tumor board participation

  • Faculty: Led by senior breast surgeons with extensive experience in oncologic and reconstructive procedures
