Overview
The Breast Surgery Mentorship Program is a unique, immersive experience created for U.S. and international surgeons seeking to advance their practice through hands-on, long-term professional development. This one-on-one mentorship program connects participants with leading breast surgeons from Atlanta’s top surgical centers, combining technical refinement with multidisciplinary learning.
Key Features
Mentored in Your Own Hospital: The attendee invites our expert team to their hospital, where we participate side by side in the operating room, guiding every surgical step. The attendee will be responsible for managing the full treatment of the patient under our direct mentorship.
Duration: Typically 1–2 days, with flexible scheduling; hybrid mentorship options may be available
Mentorship Structure: Personalized pairing with experienced breast surgeons from high-volume academic or private institutions
Hands-On Experience Includes:
Operating room observation and/or supervised assistance
Exposure to procedures such as breast-conserving surgery, skin- and nipple-sparing mastectomy, sentinel lymph node biopsy, and oncoplastic techniques
Participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborative care planning
Integration into outpatient clinical settings and diagnostic workflows
Professional development in communication, documentation, and familiarity with U.S. healthcare standards
Ideal Candidates
Board-certified or board-eligible general surgeons and surgical oncologists
Fellows in breast surgery or surgical oncology
Practicing surgeons transitioning into breast-focused care
International Medical Graduates (IMGs) seeking clinical exposure in the U.S. (subject to visa and licensing eligibility)
